As I was reading the Naruto manga (shortly after seeing the anime for the first time) I absolutely fell in love with a small part that was skipped, the Kakashi Gaiden. (this has since been animated, but wasn't back then) I thought it'd be really fun to animate some of it and make it move, so that's what the Gaiden animation shots arise from. I animated a large part of the first chapter, using the manga frames as key-animation frames, and planned to have it with full voices by holding auditions. Of course... I gave up on it; haha! But not before doing a lot of animation! It turned out to be really good practice in any case.

I of course have to disclaim a lot of the artwork as being traced from the manga, so please just enjoy it for the strange animation style.
