-Q- Will you draw me a-?
-A-
If you wish me to draw something for you, it will have to be through a commission (see the lower menu) I don’t have time to give free requests to anyone that asks, as I don't have that sort of time.

-Q- Why draw SO MUCH fanart?
-A-
I've been drawing and posting fanart for YEARS, so I have a bit of a massive collection of works. There's no profit in it save for the practice and the fun of it. I draw loads for work art too! I just love drawing. Maybe my hand will fall off? Then I'll just have to use the other hand, instead.

-Q- What do you use to draw?
-A- I use a mechanical pencil and a fine liner inking pen (onto a plain piece of A4 printer paper). On some occasions I use a (medion brand, A4) pen tablet to draw directly on the computer in a graphics program.

-Q- What do you use to color?
-A- I use PaintShopPro (recently version 9) to do most of my coloring. I am fully capable of using other programs to color with, (such as Photoshop; it simply a preference to use PaintShopPro). I rarely color traditionally, but I am capable of using many mediums, including copic markers.

-Q- What do you animate with?
-A- I do most of any animation I do in Flash. Occasionally I animate with a light box, or a gif program.

-Q- How do you copy styles?
-A- It’s a skill of mine. Whether it’s possible to learn it, I don’t know. To learn a style you have to learn by observation: there are no tutorials for it.

-Q- How long does it take to draw a picture?
-A- It really depends on the contents. I can do very simple pictures within minutes, or take many hours to do a very complex piece.

-Q- How long did it take to learn to draw??
-A- I never 'started' drawing, I've simply -always- been drawing, since I could hold a pencil. One of my earliest memories is of my uncle teaching me to draw a cat from circles, (and then drawing many of the same cat). I have never attended art classes, or art school, (and I don't intend to). The only real answer could be 'my entire life', but I've only paid it any focus (and learnt words such as 'perspective' and 'balance' since I was in my teens.

-Q- How can I learn to draw?
-A- Love doing it. That’s the most important thing. If you have that passion you’ll learn to draw. Things like tutorials, how-to-draw books (very useful) and good reference material will be aids, not the main drive. Also being observant, always having your eyes open to learning, will help you. Other people can help you with critique; but don’t rely on them, since critique is not always right (critics can't always draw!). Look for your mistakes yourself, and the solutions to those mistakes, and ways to challenge yourself to get your art to the image that –you- want it to be.

-Q- How can I learn to color?
-A- Coloring is a bit like science. If you keep looking at the colors that make up the world or other pictures, and practice a lot, you can grow to understand it. Reading a few tutorials or books on it also helps.

-Q- Can you recommend me a graphics program?
-A- I should recommend PaintShoPro and Photoshop (and their sequels). These two lead are leading graphics programs, for a good reason. If you want to try free graphics software, there are often trials available online. Alternatively you can try creating works in ‘oekaki’ or ‘paintchat’; which are both online, communal graphics programs.

-Q- Can you recommend me a graphics tablet?
-A- I can’t really, since I have only bought few. Wacom is a well known brand, but many of the tablets they sell are advanced and overpriced. You can buy good tablets for around $40 from many companies. I prefer to use an A4 tablet (as it does not move around on the desk too much, and allows for easier detailing) and am currently using a medion branded tablet.
